Family Participation is our goal at Vacation Bible School!

 

Vacation Bible School is taking on a whole new look this summer and we want you to come as a family and be a part of VBS this year. This year we are offering:

Cactus Canyon
June 2,3,4 and 5th
Monday through Wednesday
5:30 - 6:00 pm - Family Supper
6:00 - 8:00 pm - VBS Programs

Thursday
6:00 pm - Final Assembly
6:30 pm - Family Hoedown

 

Yes, VBS looks different this year. We are changing it up to help our St. Luke's families that work and want to be included. Many churches offer a nighttime celebration of VBS. It allows working moms and dads to be a part of their child's spiritual growth while having a great time and meeting other families. We are hoping that with all of the new families in our church, everyone will feel at home and be ready to participate.

 

Here's how it works!

If you have a child who has completed pre-K through 4th grade, then your child is eligible to be in VBS. Register early. Priority spots are for children whose parents hve volunteered to help. VBS fills up quickly. We want to have enough room for our church families, so sign up early! The nursery is available for any parent who volunteers to help. (Please take notice of our new and improved nursery staff.) Supper from 5:30 - 6:00 pm is for families or adults only. We do not have the man-power to watch any unsupervised children. If you cannot come with your child to supper, then you can bring them to their assigned classroom at 6:00 pm.

 

Here's how you can help!

Sign up to help! We need volunteers of all ages. High School age through AARP age is encouraged to help. I assure you that you will probably get more out of it than the children! Come be a kid again. Your prayers are needed for this outreach. The children are the future of this church. Any prayers will be felt by the children and the volunteers.

HERDERS - You will lead children from one rotation to the next. NO teaching is required. We would prefer somine who will be there for all 4 days with the children for consistency.
CRAFT CORRAL - Help the children with a daily craft. Days are flexible.
TRAIL GUIDES - Engage the children in a classroom setting about the story of the ay. Craft and games included.
MUSIC COWPOKES - Help with the music program, either playing an instrument or assisting with teaching the songs.
CHUCK WAGON - Help with dinner that the Men's Club is providing at 5:30 PM
